With heavy and broken hearts, we announce the passing of our beautiful and deeply loved Taylor Alexandra Soutar at the young age of 33. Taylor was a beloved daughter, mother, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend.

She leaves behind her cherished children, AJ Barker (9) and Brooklyn Barker (7), who were the greatest joys of her life. 

Taylor will be deeply missed by her mother, Donna Bessey; her father, James Soutar; and her sister, Brittany Soutar who saw her as a soulmate. She was the treasured granddaughter of Linda and Harry Lieder; Wayne Bessey; Sharon Gray and Don and Jette Soutar. She was predeceased by her grandmothers, Judith Bessey and Jacqueline Soutar and by her uncle James Cook.

She will be lovingly remembered by all of her aunts and uncles: Kim Bessey, Lisa and Stephen McGreevy, Carla and Grant Enman, Darren and Laurie Bessey, Jennifer and Shawn Gilbert, Connie Smith Cook, Richard Soutar, Michael and Irene Soutar. Taylor also leaves behind many cousins, including Christina, Madison, McKenzie, Brady, Justin, Bree-Anna, Lawrence, Jennifer, Rebecca, Sarah, Marcus, Chrystal, Justin, Cassondra, Shawna, and Melissa. She will also be deeply missed by her two lifelong friends, Stephanie and Saleena.

Taylor fought courageously, spending two weeks on life support. Her family extends their deepest gratitude to Dr. Leeper and the compassionate team at Victoria Hospital in London’s Critical Care Trauma Centre. Their care and kindness were greatly appreciated.

A Service and Celebration of Life will be held at Eagleson Funeral Home in Southampton, ON, on Saturday, March 15th, at 2:00 PM. Visitation will take place from 1:30 – 2:00 PM, followed by the service. Refreshments and a reception will be held in the downstairs lounge. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Taylor’s life.

In honor of Taylor’s memory, donations to support the future of her children can be made on Saturday at Eagleson Funeral Home or by  etransfer to donnabb33@gmail.com  

Contributions to mental health and addiction services would also be greatly appreciated.

Taylor’s love, laughter, and resilience will never be forgotten. She touched so many lives, and though she is gone, her spirit will live on in those of us who loved and cherished her.
