Obituary

Shirley Jean Berner (nee Sommerville)

Passed away peacefully the morning of Sunday January 12, 2025 at Lee Manor, Owen Sound, at the age of 84. Predeceased by her loving husband Theodore “Ted” Berner, her son Dennis Berner, her daughter Tammy Gavigan, her daughter-in-law Edna Jean Berner, and great-granddaughter Stella Berner.

Dear sister and sister-in-law of June and George Adam (deceased), Doug and Donna Sommerville, James ‘Jim’ (deceased) and Vera Sommerville, Anne (deceased) and Robert Kropf (deceased) , and Thomas Sommerville (deceased)

Proud grandmother of Andrew (Katrina), Alec (Brittany), and Cazzandra (Matthew).  Loving great-grandmother of Mason, Rosalee, Levi, Eleanor, Isabel, Lincoln, Theodore and Valerie.

Although deeply missed, Shirley’s memory lives on in the hearts of all those who knew her.

Graveside Service will be held in the Spring at Maitland Cemetery, Goderich.
