Obituary

SOEPBOER, David – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dave Soepboer on December 30th, 2022 at the age of 61.

He will be remembered for his generosity, humour, bigger than life personality and self-created success. Dave was raised in Stratford, Ontario where he met his soulmate and high school sweetheart, Kathy. Dave and Kathy married in 1983, moved to Southampton where they built a business from the ground up and welcomed their only child, Natasha, in 1987, who they referred to as their pride and joy. Dave loved boating and fishing in his younger years and was a diehard Bruins fan. Dave and Kathy’s love for each other was indescribable. They loved each other deeply, truly and unconditionally. Dave was devastated when Kathy passed away suddenly in 2016. Dave and Kathy’s love will continue well beyond the realm of this existence. Without a doubt she is waiting for him with a warm hug and big smile.

Dave leaves behind his only daughter, Natasha Payne, who will miss him profoundly. Dave was “the fun dad” while also exemplifying the importance of hardwork and not taking life for granted. Dave had the highest regard for his son-in-law, Matthew Payne, with whom he developed a close relationship with. Matt was the son he never had. Dave leaves behind two beautiful grandchildren, Kaylee and Kate. While they may have few memories of him, his memory will be kept very much alive and they will continue to get to know him as they grow. Dave will be deeply missed by his parents, Carl & Joan Soepboer as well as his sister, Joy Soepboer.
