Obituary

Weale, Peter Bruce, passed away peacefully at his home in Southampton on Thursday September 21, 2023 at the age of 94.

Beloved husband to Gloria Weale. Dear father of Susan and her husband, Kitchener Dawe and Paul and his wife Veronica. Stepfather to Gloria’s sons, David and Neil (Shirin) Park. Survived by his sisters Betty Anne and Carole (George) Snider.

Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Trevor, Leslie and Melissa, Michael and Kelly, and 4 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents Bert & Betty Weale, his former wife Ruth Langton Weale.

Peter attended the University of Toronto, graduating in Commerce and Finance. His working years were spent with the family company, Modern Caster in Concord, Ontario. He was a member of the Rotary Club of Vaughan 1967-1991. He retired in 1993 to Southampton. Peter was a curler, a lawn bowler and he recorded the loons on Arran Lake. He was an active member of the Probus Club, and the United Church in Southampton. He enjoyed bridge, ran trips for seniors at Chantry Centre and helped inaugurate the Women’s Probus Club of Saugeen Shores. Peter enjoyed many years with friends in Southampton and Port Elgin.

Cremation has taken place and interment of ashes at a later date at York Cemetery, Toronto.
