Obituary

Nashkewa, Phil, passed away at the Owen Sound Hospital on Saturday November 12, 2022. Philip Vernon Nashkewa of Saugeen First Nation at the age of 66. Brother to Judy Darlington, Mario (Christine) Darlington and Ron (Shannon) Nashkewa. Also remembered by niece Donna (Keith) Mackie, nephew Paul St. Jules, and great nieces Cierra Fasken and Jacey Mackie. Philip will be sadly missed by his Companion Irene Evans, and her son Mark Evans. Papa to Kayla (Ryan Sauve) Civiero, Jayde (Elizabeth Silk) Civiero, Dakota (Olivia Miller) Civiero, and Maddison (Ben Morrison) Murdock Evans.

Predeceased by his father Leslie Darlington, his mother Emma Darlington, sister Darlene Hunter, and Irene’ daughter Tracey Civiero.

As per Phil’s request a family graveside service has been held at the Saugeen Village Cemetery.
